ICE Endex Achieves Daily Volume Record in Dutch TTF Natural Gas Futures
LONDON & AMSTERDAM--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
IntercontinentalExchange Group (NYSE: ICE), the leading global network
of exchanges and clearing houses, today announced that ICE Endex reached
a daily volume record of 20,630 contracts in Dutch TTF natural gas
futures on February 21, 2014. The previous record of 15,125 contracts
was set on December 3, 2013.
The ICE Endex TTF natural gas futures volume represented 15,052,745 MWh
on February 21, 2014. The previous volume record on December 3, 2014,
represented 10,908,185 MWh.
Open interest for ICE Endex TTF futures was 130,851 contracts at
February 21, 2014, compared with 111,725 contracts as at December 2,
2013.
ICE Endex launched in March 2013, following ICE’s acquisition of the
spot gas and derivatives business of APX-ENDEX. ICE Endex futures
markets transitioned to the ICE trading platform and ICE's European
clearing house, ICE Clear Europe on October 7, 2013.
