IntercontinentalExchange, Inc. Added to S&P 500 Stock Index
ATLANTA, Sept. 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- IntercontinentalExchange
(NYSE: ICE), a leading global commodity exchange operator, announced that
Standard & Poor's (S&P) will add ICE to the S&P 500 Index as of the close of
trading today, September 25, 2007.

The S&P 500 Index consists of 500 stocks chosen for market size, liquidity
and industry group representation. It is a market-value weighted index, with
each stock's weighting in the index in proportion to its market
capitalization. The S&P Index Committee follows a set of published guidelines
for maintaining the index, which are detailed at
