David Underwood is Chief Audit Executive of Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. (NYSE: ICE). He is responsible for ICE’s global audit program, which includes testing to ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act worldwide.

Underwood joined ICE in April 2007 when the Internal Audit department officially launched. He previously held various positions in internal audit at Glenayre Technologies and BellSouth Corporation. Underwood began his career in public accounting at Ernst & Young, LLP serving primarily real estate and manufacturing clients in Birmingham, Alabama.

Underwood holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Real Estate Finance from the University of Alabama-Birmingham. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
