Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, IntercontinentalExchange Jeff Sprecher is a founder of IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE), serving as the company's Chief Executive Officer since its inception in May 2000 and as the Chairman of the Board since November 2002. Under Mr. Sprecher's guidance, ICE has expanded into global markets for agriculture, chemicals, credit default swaps, emissions, energy, equity indexes and foreign exchange. Today, ICE operates three regulated futures exchanges, two over-the-counter (OTC) markets and five clearing houses.
A former power plant developer, Mr. Sprecher recognized the need for an accessible, electronic marketplace for OTC energy contracts. He purchased Continental Power Exchange (CPEX) in 1997 to achieve his vision of an efficient market that would introduce transparency and capital efficiency into previously opaque and fragmented markets. In 2000 he spearheaded the assembly of thirteen global commercial market users who then became the company's initial shareholders.
Since ICE's formation in 2000, Mr. Sprecher has maintained a focus on innovation, transparency and capital efficiency in the global derivatives markets. He has led numerous strategic initiatives that have enabled ICE to expand from a single asset class – energy – into five asset classes today. These initiatives have included numerous acquisitions, including the International Petroleum Exchange (2001), the New York Board of Trade (2007) and Creditex (2008).
In addition to expanding through acquisitions, Mr. Sprecher has focused ICE's resources on organic growth, including developing the industry's first cleared OTC energy contracts (2002), building the first new major clearing house in the U.K. in over a century (2008), and launching the world's first clearing house for CDS (2009).
Mr. Sprecher has received accolades over the past several years from BusinessWeek, Institutional Investor and numerous industry publications. Mr. Sprecher was selected by MarketWatch as one of five finalists in the prestigious "MarketWatch CEO of the Year" program in 2006. Also in 2006, The Wall Street Journal named ICE the best 1-year performer of all stocks in the newspaper's coverage universe based on its annual return.
Mr. Sprecher serves on the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Global Market Advisory Committee and is a member of the Energy Security Leadership Council.
Prior to acquiring CPEX, Mr. Sprecher held a number of positions in the power industry. For 14 years, he served as President of Western Power Group, Inc., a developer, owner and operator of large central-station power plants in California.
A native of Wisconsin, Mr. Sprecher earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and a Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.

Charles R. Crisp

Director, IntercontinentalExchange Charles Crisp has been a Director of IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE) since November 2002.
From 1999 until his retirement in 2002, Mr. Crisp served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Coral Energy a Shell Oil Company subsidiary responsible for wholesale natural gas and power marketing and trading services. He joined Coral Energy as President and Chief Operating Officer in 1998. From 1996 to 1997, Mr. Crisp was President of Domestic Power Generation at Houston Industries. He was President and Chief Operating Officer of Tejas Gas Corporation from 1988 to 1996.
Mr. Crisp currently serves as a Director of EOG Resources, Inc., AGL Resources, Inc., and Targa Resources, Inc. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas Tech University and completed the Program for Management Development at Harvard Graduate School of Business.

Jean-Marc Forneri

Director, IntercontinentalExchange Jean Marc Forneri has been a Director of IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE:ICE) since November 2002. He is founder and senior partner of Bucephale Finance, a boutique mergers and acquisitions firm specializing in large transactions for French corporations, foreign investors and private equity firms.
For the seven years prior to Bucephale's founding, Mr. Forneri headed the investment banking business of Credit Suisse First Boston in Paris. He was Managing Director and Head of Credit Suisse First Boston France S.A., and Vice Chairman, Europe from 1994 to 1996, Mr. Forneri was a Partner of Demachy Worms & Cie Finance, where he was in charge of investment banking activities of Group Worms. From 1988 to 1994, Mr. Forneri was CEO of Skis Rossignol, a worldwide listed leader in the ski industry.
Mr. Forneri is a Director of Balmain SA, Perseus Participations, SAFRAN and Friends of Paris Museum of Modern Art. He is also a Board Member of Grand Port Maritime de Marseille, the Lyrics Festival of Aix en Provence and Societe du Casino Municipal d'Aix Thermal.

Fred W. Hatfield

Director, IntercontinentalExchange Fred Hatfield has been a Director of IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE) since May 2007. He also serves on the Board of Directors of ICE Futures U.S., ICE's regulated futures exchange subsidiary.
Mr. Hatfield is founder of Hatfield Advisory Services, a Senior Counselor for Federal Regulatory Affairs, Public Insight, LP and a member of the Obama Economic Policy Advisory Committee, Competitiveness: Strengthening America's Business Climate.
Mr. Hatfield is a Director of Managed Funds Association and the National Advisory Board of Public Insight. He was a Public Policy Advisor at Patton Boggs from 2006 to 2007, and Commissioner of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) from 2004 to 2006. Before joining the CFTC, Mr. Hatfield served as Chief of Staff to former Senator John Breaux (D-LA) from 1995 to 2004, and former House Majority Whip Tony Coelho (D-CA) from 1980 to 1989. In addition, Mr. Hatfield has more than ten years experience in the areas of Energy, Private Equity/Venture Capital/Hedge Funds, and Financial Services and Products and served as Deputy Commissioner General of the U.S. Pavilion at the World's Fair in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1998.
Mr. Hatfield earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from California State University, Fresno.

Terrence F. Martell Ph.D.

Director, IntercontinentalExchange Terrence Martell has been a Director of IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE) since January 2007. He serves on the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors and is also the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of ICE Futures U.S., ICE's regulated futures exchange subsidiary.
Dr. Martell is the Director of the Weissman Center for International Business at Baruch College/CUNY, where he is also the Saxe Distinguished Professor of Finance. Dr. Martell is a leading authority on international commodity markets and conducts extensive research in this area.
Dr. Martell is on the board of the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce and serves on its Executive Committee. He is also a trustee of the PSC/CUNY Welfare Fund, which manages health benefits for the employees of the City University of New York.
Dr. Martell earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Iona College and a Doctor of Philosophy in Finance from the Pennsylvania State University.

Sir Callum McCarthy

Director, IntercontinentalExchange Sir Callum McCarthy joined the Board of Directors of IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE) in October 2009.
Sir Callum is the former Chairman of the U.K. Financial Services Authority (FSA), a role he held from September 2003 until September 2008. Before his post at the FSA, Sir Callum was Chairman and Chief Executive of Ofgem, the economic regulator of the gas and electricity industries in the U.K., from 1998 to 2003. Prior to Ofgem, Sir Callum held numerous senior level positions in the financial services industry, including Barclays Bank (North America and Japan), Barclays de Zoete Wedd (BZW) and Kleinwort Benson, as well as various posts in the U.K. Department of Trade and Industry from 1972 to 1985.
Sir Callum is a Non-Executive Director of HM Treasury and a Trustee of the University of Oxford Saïd Business School. Sir Callum holds a Master of Science from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where he was a Sloan fellow, a Master of Arts in History from Merton College at Oxford University and a Doctorate in Economics from Stirling University.

Director, IntercontinentalExchange Sir Robert Reid has been a Director of IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE) since June 2001. He is also Chairman of ICE Futures Europe, ICE's London-based regulated energy exchange subsidiary, as well as Chairman of ICE Clear Europe.
Sir Bob joined Shell in 1956 and spent much of his career overseas, including posts in Brunei, Nigeria, Thailand and Australia. Sir Bob was Chairman and Chief Executive of Shell UK Limited from 1985 until he retired in 1990. He was also Chairman of British Rail for five years and a Deputy Governor of the Bank of Scotland.
Sir Bob is a Director of Diligenta Limited, Jubilant Energy and EEA Helicopter Operations. He also serves as Chairman of the Foundation for Young Musicians, Conservatoire for Dance and Drama and Learning Through Landscapes.

Mr. Salerno is the former Vice Chairman of Verizon Communications, Inc. Before the merger of Bell Atlantic and GTE Corporation, Mr. Salerno was Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of Bell Atlantic and served in the Office of the Chairman from 1997 to 2001. Prior to joining Bell Atlantic, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of New England Telephone from 1985 to 1987, President and Chief Executive Officer of New York Telephone from 1987 to 1991 and Vice Chairman, Finance and Business Development at NYNEX from 1991 to 1997.

Director, IntercontinentalExchange Judith Sprieser has been a Director of IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE) since April 2004. She founded Transora, Inc., technology software and services company in 2000 and served as its Chief Executive Officer until 2005.
Before establishing Transora, Ms. Sprieser was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Sara Lee Corporation.
Ms. Sprieser is a director of Allstate Corporation, Reckitt-Benckiser PLC and Royal Ahold, N.V. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Northwestern University.

Vincent Tese

Director, IntercontinentalExchange Vincent Tese has been a Director of IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE) since 2004. He is also Chairman of Wireless Cable International, a position he has held since 1995.
Mr. Tese was appointed Superintendent of Banks by Governor Mario M. Cuomo in 1983 and served New York State until December 1994, through the duration of the Cuomo Administration. In March 1985, Mr. Tese was named Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Urban Development Corporation and, in 1987, Director of Economic Development for New York State. He was appointed a Commissioner of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in 1991 and elected its Vice Chairman in 1992.
Before his career in public service, Mr. Tese was a partner at the law firm Tese & Tese from 1973 to 1977. From 1977 to 1982, he was a partner at the Sinclair Group, a commodities trading and investment management company. In 1976, Mr. Tese co-founded Cross Country Cable TV, which operated cable television systems in New Jersey, Virginia, Illinois, Arizona, California and Puerto Rico.
Mr. Tese is a director of several corporations, including Bowne and Company, Inc., Cablevision, Inc., Mack-Cali Realty Corporation and NRDC Acquisition Corp. He is a Trustee of New York University School of Law and New York Presbyterian Hospital.
Mr. Tese earned a Bachelor of Buiness Administration degree in Accounting from Pace University. Following two years as first lieutenant with the U.S. Army, he earned a law degree from Brooklyn Law School and a L.L.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law.
